Applying for financial aid at Zane State College is a quick and easy process. Follow these four simple steps:

Step 1: Complete the FAFSA online at the Federal Financial Aid website at https://www.fafsa.gov/. Please file by May 1 of every year to ensure the most financial assistance is received. Please be sure to go to the correct website listed above to ensure you won’t be charged to file the free form. You will be asked to create a FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA.

Step 2: Zane State College will receive your results and begin to develop your financial aid package for the academic year. You may be asked to provide documentation of the income that you listed on the FAFSA to the Office of Student Financial Aid for verification purposes.

Step 3: Zane State will send you an award notice informing you of the sources of aid you qualify to receive for the academic year. You will be instructed if any additional steps are needed.

Step 4: If you choose to accept the loans that were offered to you, additional steps are required. You will be instructed to follow the directions to do an online master promissory note and entrance counseling.
