Graduation is not automatic. To graduate, students must complete the online "Petition for Graduation" and pay a $60 fee. An email from the Registrar's Office is sent to all sophomores with instructions on how to petition. Students must meet with their program advisor to review their degree audit in order to verify that they are on track to graduate for the petitioning term. Candidates for graduation must submit the completed petition by the date posted. A bill is not sent for the graduation fee and it is the responsibility of the candidate to pay the fee once the petition is processed. Please note that a separate Petition for Graduation must be filed if a student anticipates graduating with more than one degree or certificate in a different term.
Formal graduation activities are held at the end of Spring semester. Those completing graduation requirements after Fall semester are invited to participate the following Spring. Those completing graduation requirements in the Summer term are invited to attend the Spring commencement that preceeds that Summer term.
